As a senior columnist with The National of Abu Dhabi, and Arab News of Saudi Arabia, he won a reputation for objective and accurate analysis of the biggest regional business events of the last two decades, like the Global Financial Crisis and its effects on the Arabian Gulf region, the Vision 2030 strategy in Saudi Arabia, and the impact of the COVID19 pandemic on regional and global energy markets.

He is currently Editor at Large of Arabian Gulf Business Insight, a fast-growing business news website with based in London and Dubai. His weekly columns are a must-read for businesspeople across
the region.

Simultaneously, he has developed a career as a communications consultant to some of the most prestigious organizations in the Gulf region, notably the Energy Ministry of Saudi Arabia where he helps prepare media messaging and public communications in this critical sector. What happens in Saudi Arabian energy has truly global resonance, and explaining its nuanced position to global markets is a vital function.

Holistic and inclusive

He has participated on a regular basis as journalist, attendee, moderator and panelist at the big global events where energy, climate change and sustainability are key items on the agenda, like the WEF in Davos for more than a decade, the FII forum in Riyadh since inception, the UN’s COP summits of the past four years, as well as dedicated energy forums in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and elsewhere.

Frank believes fervently that, in order to tackle climate change and global warming – the most pressing challenges of our time – the world must approach the issues in an holistic and inclusive manner, setting aside ideological positions in favor of pragmatic and implementable measures.
