Mike has over twenty years’ experience in preparing materials for public-facing exhibits and communication. Over this period his work has moved from the historical exploration of science and technology and industrial processes to the development of world-leading innovations in the energy sector and environmental design. His output covers all media from digital to print to spoken word.

Intuitive and compelling content

Working with ARC, Mike carries out extensive research with the client team, visiting sites and talking to experts to identify the origin, capability and likely impact of their research and urrent projects.

As a skilled interviewer, he enables the knowledge holders to identify the key elements of their narrative and how these are best expressed for a given target audience.

As well as conducting the research, Mike is an experienced and versatile scriptwriter/content developer. Complex ideas and processes can be reorganised and expressed as digital interactives, physical displays, audiovisual clips or even as visitor challenges and games.

The aim is always to engage the visitor’s attention and demonstrate the underlying logic of the subject matter so that it becomes intuitive and compelling.

In recent years Mike has supported ARC in the creation of exhibits for the KSA Ministry of Energy and Saudi Aramco about the Energy Transition, the Saudi Vision 2030 and Digital Transformation. Mike also continues to work in the cultural sector, advising on how to present otherwise complex topics in ways that resonate with international audiences and curious minds.
